Please read these terms carefully. By placing an order through our website (https://thelechuza.co.uk), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. 2. Eligibility

To purchase from our website, you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

3. Definitions

  • Consumer: An individual buying for purposes outside their business, trade, or profession.
  • Goods: The products listed on our website that are available for purchase.
  • Order: Your request to purchase Goods from us.
  • Contract: The legally binding agreement formed when we confirm your Order.

4. Product Information and Accuracy

We make every effort to describe and display our products accurately. However, slight variations in size, colour or texture may occur. All images are for illustrative purposes only and do not form part of the contract.

If an item is made to your specifications (custom orders), it is your responsibility to ensure all information provided is accurate. Custom items cannot be returned unless faulty.

5. Prices and Payment

All prices include VAT and are shown in GBP. Delivery charges are displayed at checkout. Prices are subject to change, but confirmed Orders will not be affected.

We accept payment by debit/credit card and other methods shown at checkout. Payment is taken at the time of order.

6. Order Acceptance

Submitting an Order on our website does not constitute acceptance. We will confirm acceptance by email (“Order Confirmation”). Only at this point is the Contract formed. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any Order at our discretion.

7. Delivery

We deliver to most areas within the UK. Delivery times and methods are outlined at checkout. While we aim to meet estimated delivery times, they are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays beyond our control.

For pallet deliveries, items will be delivered kerbside. It is your responsibility to unpack and move items.

You must inspect your delivery for visible damage before signing. Claims for damage will not be accepted once the Goods have been signed for.

8. Risk and Ownership

The risk in the Goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership remains with us until payment is received in full.

9. Your Right to Cancel

You have a legal right to cancel your Order within 14 days of receiving the Goods, without giving a reason, unless the Goods are:

  • Made to your specifications or clearly personalised
  • Perishable or time-sensitive
  • Sealed items not suitable for return once unsealed

10. Returns and Refunds

You may return unwanted Goods within 30 days of delivery, provided they are unused, in original packaging, and suitable for resale. You are responsible for return shipping costs if you change your mind.

Once received and inspected, we will confirm whether a refund is approved. Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days.

11. Faulty or Incorrect Goods

If the Goods are faulty or not as described, you are entitled to a refund, repair or replacement. Please notify us within 30 days of delivery.

12. Damaged Goods in Transit

If an item is damaged in transit, you must notify us within 48 hours. We will require photos and may assist with courier claims. If cost-effective, we may collect the item. Otherwise, we may ask you to dispose of the item safely.

13. Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy. All personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, the UK GDPR, and the Data Protection Act 2018.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability in connection with any Order shall not exceed the price paid for the Goods.

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for fraud.

15. Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g. natural disasters, strikes, transport disruption).

16. Accuracy and Misrepresentation

We make every reasonable effort to ensure that product information, images, and terms are accurate and up-to-date. We do not make misleading claims about our products or services. If any inaccuracies are discovered, we will promptly correct them and contact affected customers if necessary.

17. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes may be submitted to the courts of England and Wales or, where applicable, your local court in Scotland or Northern Ireland.
